Like perhaps you have older wiring, or other devices like a washing machine, that interfere with the powerline network. There are a number of reasons why you might not get the full speed, most of which are electrical related. In my experience, this device is rated for up to 200 mbps, but I can only get 100 mbps. You're ready to add the ethernet cables and complete your network. The middle light will light up green indicating it has a powerline connection. Within two minutes, press the button on the other adapter. To finish the setup process, press the button once on one adapter. Repeat this process on the second adapter. Lights will begin to flash when the reset is starting. Press and hold the button on the bottom of the adapter for 10 seconds. In the same room, plug in the other adapter to a different outlet.
